Working Philosophy
Our mission is to revitalize and create affordable housing across the midwest. Our principals have over 30 years of combined experience, which allows Daveri to address the need for affordable housing in diverse communities while creating high-quality, attractive, and eco-friendly living spaces for residents.

Intelligent development begins with real community need. Working with community leaders, Daveri develops projects that blend seamlessly into the existing fabric of a neighborhood. Whether a community is in need of single-family units for employee groups, a rehabbed historical building at risk, or ground up construction to meet the needs of a specific population group, Daveri is flexible and experienced to meet the local need.

At Daveri, we understand the complexity of affordable housing. We never buy land just to develop it. We know that every community has diverse and unique needs, but creating affordable housing is a complicated process. Daveri assembles the sticks and bricks to get the job done, enabling our community partners' abillity to fulfill their mission.

Diverse Experience
Daveri's strength is its experience and flexibility. We are proud to be specialists in numerous forms of affordable housing. Our firm is prepared to cater to specific community needs, whether they are in rural Illinois or in the heart of Chicago. Cullen Davis and Larry Pusateri, principals of Daveri Development Group, along with Vice President Jessica Berzac, bring to the table very different resumes in affordable housing, but the same passion to meet the needs of the community at hand.

As a lifelong Chicagoan, Cullen understands the urban city - its needs and complexities, successes and failures. As Chicago grows, so does Cullen's approach to affordable housing. Larry Pusateri has worked in communities from the Chicagoland suburbs to towns smaller than 5000, where the needs and complexities are different. His experience across the state of Illinois has prepared him to develop affordable housing throughout the Midwest and beyond. Vice President Jessica Berzac serves as Daveri's go-to team member. She understands the ins and outs of the development process. She also has an extensive background with not-for-profits and community organizations, strengthening her ability to make real the needs of each community she works with.

Partnering with neighborhood associations, not-for-profit organizations, social service providers, and local leaders, Daveri builds affordable housing where it is needed. Click here for more information about The Team.

Proven Sustainability
Daveri is proud of its work - not just at the ribbon cutting ceremony, but ten years later, as well. Creating new or rehabilitated affordable housing isn't meant to be a short-term project. We believe in leaving a legacy of environmental sustainability in each project we work on. Going Green can be mere buzz words nowadays, but Daveri has a proven record of utilizing eco-friendly, LEED-certified building practices.

There is real need and desire right now for sustainably developed affordable housing in the midwest. Daveri is experienced and prepared to answer that call. The proof is in the product: Our Spaulding & Trumball project in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood, as well as Danville's Gold LEED-Certified Family Housing developments are Daveri's shining examples of creative environmental sustainabililty.

Property Management
Daveri is uniquely positioned to continue partnership with community groups and non-profits as the property manager of affordable housing sites. Sister company Urban Property Advisors, much lauded for its Blended Housing Management Program, is prepared to serve each community's needs. The Blended Housing Management Program was born out of UPA's experience as housing management professionals for public housing and as the preferred managing agent for developers specializing in affordable and mixed income developments. The Blended Housing Management program is a means of intervening in issues of transition and transformation that impact families and their surrounding communities.

Daveri feels strongly that utilizing blended housing management furthers the mission of caring for both the physical and human asset in affordable housing. We know that it is vital to pay special attention to a community's need for supportive services and/or comprehensive property management. We are proud of the structures we build; just as we seek to be proud of our buildings far into the future, we also take pride in our residents' futures. To learn more about UPA, click here.
